(ChinaIT.com News) Shanxi Mobile Taiyuan Branch joined hands with ZTE to complete the verification of the new micro-station (iMacro) in Taiyuan, focusing on solving the pain point of insufficient deep coverage of high-rise buildings. Compared with the traditional spotlight solution, the new micro-station (iMacro) network has better coverage in the middle and lower layers, and the uplink and downlink rates have been greatly improved, significantly improving the 4/5G user experience.
With the rapid development of urban construction, indoor 4/5 coverage in high-rise residential areas has gradually become a difficulty in mobile network optimization. The existing RRU + spotlight antenna solution has poor coverage, large feeder damage, and spotlight antenna failure cannot be monitored. The introduction of the new micro station (iMacro) effectively solves the above difficulties.
Shanxi Mobile Taiyuan Branch completed the pilot deployment of the integrated micro-station in a high-rise residential area in Taiyuan. Compared with the traditional solution, the integrated micro-station (iMacro) has the characteristics of small size, light weight, compact structure, beautiful appearance, and low power consumption. In order to achieve the best coverage effect, Taiyuan Mobile organized a series of verification tests such as point selection comparison, antenna vertical installation and horizontal installation effect comparison, and multi-beam weight comparison. Finally, the horizontal and horizontal installation method was selected in this high-rise building, and the horizontal wide beam was converted into a vertical beam. The 65-degree vertical beam combined with a large mechanical tilt angle and flexible electronic tilt can ensure deep coverage of buildings with 30-40 floors.
In this pilot project, the test building height is 102 meters, the building width is 65 meters, and the building spacing is 60 meters. RRU+2T spotlights and integrated micro-stations (iMacro) are deployed at the same point in residential buildings for comparison. The overall coverage rate of 5G is increased by 10%, and the overall coverage rate of 4G is increased by 8%. The dual-band dual-mode iMacro supports 4TR, which can achieve a maximum of four-stream effect. Compared with conventional 2TR spotlights in residential areas, the performance can be improved by 60%.
Facing the future, Shanxi Mobile will continue to join hands with ZTE to continuously explore and innovate, boldly practice, and innovate 5G application scenarios, and is committed to providing mobile users with the highest quality network quality, providing strong support for the all-round promotion of high-quality development in Shanxi.
